Calling the North Shore home for most of her life, Jess Taylor, founder of Jtaylor Hair & Beauty, has always had a flair for hair and beauty. Even before she joined the industry in 2008, it was obvious she was destined to be in the hair and beauty industry. She began her career as an excited student in 2006.
In 2016, after honing her skills working in the indsutry for almost a decade, Jess opened her first namesake salon, nestled amongst boutiques and eateries on vibrant Eastern Road, Turramurra. This gorgeous, but quaint space, featured two chases and just one basin, and over the next 8 years increasing demand called for more space! Jtaylor Hair & Beauty is now at 13 Pembroke Place, Belrose offering a range of hair services.

MASTER COLOURIST & FOUNDER OF JTAYLOR HAIR & BEAUTY
With a career spanning more than 18 years, Jess is a seasoned colourist and hair stylist gifted with natural intuition and talent. Jess has the innate ability to truly transform her clients' hair.

After completing her Certificate III and IV in Hairdressing at TAFE NSW, her appetite to learn took Jess to London to further her studies with Vidal Sassoon, completing field training under guidance from some of the industry’s finest. Jess went on to work in a number of prestigious outlets across the globe Sydney, Los Angeles and New York including the esteemed Frederick Fekkai company.

Combining her natural talent with skill refinement over the years, Jess offers a full range of services including colour, foils, cutting and styling from an invitingly intimate setting at 13 Pembroke Place, Belrose. From colour corrections to balayage and foils, Jess' natural ability and unparalleled intuition for the art of hair is what keeps her clients coming back each time.

Meet Lily
Lily brings 3 years of hands-on experience and a calming presence to every appointment. Specialising in curly hair, blondes, foiling, and balayage, she combines technical skill with a soft, natural touch to create stunning, lived-in colour and healthy, manageable styles.
From the beginning, it was clear that hairdressing was written in the stars for Lily. She fast-tracked through her training, impressing mentors and clients alike with her natural talent and professional maturity. So capable so early on, she quickly found her place behind the chair, where her creativity and care truly shine.
Clients often describe Lily as sweet, kind, and wonderfully peaceful to be around. Her calm and caring nature makes every visit feel like a relaxing escape, while her attention to detail ensures each client leaves feeling confident and cared for.
Lily’s favourite part of hairdressing is helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. Whether you’re after a bright blonde refresh or expert guidance on curly hair care, she’s dedicated to creating a look you’ll love—and an experience you’ll enjoy.
